Joe Hauser

Joe Hauser is a wildlife biologist and environmental consultant with over thirty years of field experience. He is also an avid outdoorsman and has taught primitive survival skills for many years. Joe had his first Bigfoot experience in 1983 while mining for gold in the Sierras in California. Over the next few years Joe had many experiences in the field that didn’t fit into the normal parameters of wildlife biology and came to believe that there was an intelligent yet unidentified bipedal creature roaming the woods.  In April of 2005 Joe had his first Bigfoot sighting while hiking in Glacier National Park with his son Matt.

As a former Curator with the BFRO he had the opportunity to investigate many Bigfoot reports and learned a lot about their behavior.  Joe and his wife Tammy now live near Glacier National Park in Northwest Montana and their property along the Flathead River is frequented by a family of Bigfoot on a seasonal basis.

Marc Myrsell

We are delighted to introduce our next confirmed speaker for Big Sky Bigfoot '17:  Historical researcher Marc Myrsell.

Marc Myrsell is a land surveyor and public aquarist in SW Washington and has apparently found his specialty in historical monster attack research.  In SW Oregon over the course of 30 years, miners and hunters had numerous sightings and at times violent encounters with large, hair-covered creatures in the hills, above Port Orford, resulting in the methodical killing of four men whose murders are still unsolved.  Marc will be analyzing the 1924 Ape Canyon, the Thompson Flat Monster projects and the Butchertown Murders (1875-1905) to discuss historical document and field research techniques that are used for in-depth, detailed investigation of long-standing episodes of the unexplained.

Having spent his life researching and writing on unexplained historical events, Marc began in earnest with a fresh investigation of the 1924 Ape Canyon attack, culminating in 2013 with the discovery of the actual cabin site where the events took place.  An incredible historical story with the latest details will be shared during this presentation.  You will be glad you sat in on this one!

Dr. Jeff Meldrum

We are excited that none other than Dr. Jeff Meldrum has agreed to return to the Big Sky Bigfoot Conference this year!

Dr. Meldrum is a full professor of anatomy and anthropology at Idaho State University. His interests in the footprints attributed to an unrecognized North American ape, commonly known as sasquatch, came into focus when he literally crossed paths with an enigmatic set of tracks in the mountains of Washington State. He has conducted extensive research and has appeared in numerous television programs as well as many public and professional presentations. He is author of Sasquatch: Legend Meets Science, and editor of The Relict Hominoid Inquiry, an online journal.

Seth Breedlove

 We are delighted to announce our second confirmed presenter for Big Sky Bigfoot '17: Independent filmmaker Seth Breedlove!

Seth has written, edited, produced and directed shorts and features about a variety of topics but is best known for his production company and the films they've produced under the Small Town Monsters banner. Before film, Seth wrote for a number of websites, newspapers and magazines, and learned some of the skills he employs as a director while working as a reporter. Seth has also appeared on numerous television and radio programs.

In 2013 Seth began working on the concept for a series titled Small Town Monsters. The first chapter in this series is the film Minerva Monster. Seth wrote and directed the film. He has since begun working on more projects which will fall under the Small Town Monsters umbrella including Beast of Whitehall, which he also acted as cinematographer on.

In 2016 Seth directed and edited his first full-length feature, Boggy Creek Monster. The film is now available on DVD and through streaming services such as Vimeo OnDemand and Amazon Video.

Becky Cook

Drumroll please.... It's time to announce our first confirmed speaker for Big Sky Bigfoot 2017: Author Becky Cook! Becky was born in Pocatello, Idaho and was raised on a farm on the Shoshone Bannock Indian reservation the first part of her life. She started hearing stories about Bigfoot when she was quite young when her father, a Pocatello policeman, would bring the stories home from work. She has written two compilations of Bigfoot sighting reports which she has collected over the years: Bigfoot Lives in Idaho and Bigfoot Still Lives in Idaho. She is currently at work on her third book, Bigfoot Lives in Montana. Becky was a speaker at our first Big Sky Bigfoot Conference and we're very happy to have her back with us in 2017!

Big Sky Bigfoot in the New Year

Greetings, and a massive and belated THANK YOU to everyone who helped make Big Sky Bigfoot '16 a success!
